Holiday in Turkey
John and Penny e-mailed me in May telling me of their summer vacation plans. They were going to tour Turkey. This was too good to miss so I asked to come along.

The tour started in Istanbul.We travelled to the Black Sea region.We then travelled to Corum for Hittite history.Onwards to Cappadacia for the underground cities and early Christian cave churches.

The mediterranian coast for sea, sunshine, exploration and relaxation.

Pamakkale for its mountain spas and Roman remains.

The coastal town of Ephesus and its history of early Christianity.

We travelled to the Aegean sea to explore the ancient city of Troy.

The tour took us to Canakkale the ferry to Turkey's European side. On the way back we toured Gallipoli and the Dardannells before returning to the Marmara Hotel in Istanbul where the tour ended.
